The advanced automation and miniaturisation to be found in all areas of engineering demands a steadily growing family of reliable and compact drives distributed within today's systems. Particularly the speed and the precision with which a process or a mechanical system can be controlled represent parameters of increasing importance. Small wonder that new actuators are rapidly becoming the key elements for improving the overall performance of existing products or for creating new features - or even new products - that simply could not be realised before.
|
Moreover, the use of microsystem technology makes it easier to integrate signal transducing (sensors), intelligent processing and active elements (actuators) into complex miniaturised systems, so that entire systems become mobile or even implantable into living beings. |
With its technological sessions, the 9th International Conference on New Actuators provides the most important meeting place for the exchange of information on new results from the research and development of high-technology
actuators, and on their implementation into new products. Again there will be an extended second stream of more application-oriented topics, thus complementing the scope of the technological sessions established in previous years.

The Bremen Fair and Congress Center offers up to 34,000 m² of exhibition space with integrated first-class congress facilities, just three minutes' walk away from the main railway station. The centre meets the highest demands, providing ideal conditions for innovative and eventful fairs and congresses. The Bürgerpark and the Old Town are within view, inviting you to go for a relaxing walk in between. A visit to the historical market square and a tour through the picturesque alleys of the Schnoor district are just two examples of the varied cultural attractions Bremen has to offer.
